Dedicated Inpatient ward supporting 24/7 operations
As one of the few dedicated clinical trial sites capable of operating on a 24/7 basis in Australia, Scientia has successfully supported even the most complex of First In Human studies. With dedicated Central Cardiac Monitoring, and a range of leading systems and platforms, including continuous 12 lead ECG and SpO₂, you can be assured that every data point will be captured and accurately reported by our experienced and reliable team.
Extensive suite of private consult rooms
With a large number of dedicated consulting rooms, we can flexibly manage studies that no longer require extensive 24, 48 or 72 hour PK sampling.

When coupled with our onsite procedure rooms, telemetry, ultrasound and supporting medical infrastructure, Scientia is able to flexibly adapt to the requirements of even the most complex of protocols.
Onsite processing lab
Scientia’s on-site laboratory is equipped to deliver timely and precise processing of a wide range of human specimens - including whole blood and blood components, urine, microbiome samples, FFPE, fresh tissue and other biological material.

Additional services include kit preparation (ordering, labelling, processing, storage & shipment), Draft Manual review and feedback, continuous temperature monitoring across all cold storage devices (-80°C and -20°C freezers, +4°C refrigerators) and the snap freezing of samples at the benchtop using dry ice.
Onsite IP Suite
Scientia Clinical Research is the only Phase I Unit in Australia with an on-site, purpose-built Grade C (EU GMP) cleanroom together with an anteroom, that provides a validated Grade C environment for both sterile and non-sterile compounding and manufacturing activities. The cleanroom also holds specialised dedicated equipment such as laminar flow cabinets, analytical balances and a ductless powder hood.

Scientia’s secure IP dispensing and storage areas also allows us to provide a full range of IP management services from IP receipt to disposition. Our storage facilities are fully temperature monitored and include ultra-low temperature freezers, freezers, refrigerators and room temperature storage.
