The Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 (NSW) protects those who report serious wrongdoing in the following areas:

• Corrupt conduct
• Serious maladministration
• Government information or privacy contraventions
• Serious waste of public funds
• Local government pecuniary interest breaches

To support this, both UNSW’s Public Interest Disclosures Policy and Scientia’s Public Interest Disclosures Procedure are in place. 

How to Make a Confidential or Anonymous Report:

You can report serious wrongdoing through Your Call, an independent and confidential service:

• Online: Your Call Reporting – Use Organisation ID: UNSW
• Phone: 1300 790 228 (Mon–Fri, 9am–12am AEST)
• Email: speakup@scientiaclinicalresearch.com.au

We recommend using Your Call if you wish to remain anonymous. Where a report qualifies as a Public Interest Disclosure, your identity will be kept confidential unless you consent or disclosure is legally required.

You Are Protected

The law protects you from reprisals for making or intending to make a disclosure. Detrimental action—including bullying, discrimination, or unfair treatment—is unlawful. You also receive immunity from civil or criminal liability related to the disclosure.
