Last week Scientia Clinical Research had the pleasure of hosting a site tour and dinner with our referring oncology doctors – the incredible clinicians who make our work possible. These are the people who make a real difference: referring patients, starting conversations, and helping us connect those living with conditions to new treatment possibilities, through our new clinical research trials.
The evening began with an exclusive tour of our purpose-built clinical research facility in the Bright Building here at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. As Sydney’s only not-for-profit, dedicated Phase I unit, Scientia Clinical Research offers a unique environment where cutting-edge science meets compassionate care. Our guests had the opportunity to explore our facility, gain insight into the participant experience, and engage directly with our Oncology team, including Dr Charlotte Lemech, Dr Christina Teng, and Dr Joe Wei.

Following the tour, we gathered at the Spanish Fly in Randwick for a relaxed dinner – an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the role our oncology partners play in advancing early-phase clinical trials. It was an evening of connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. And a glass of wine on arrival!
Partnerships like these sit at the very heart of what we do at Scientia. When healthcare professionals and research teams work hand-in-hand, we move medicine forward – one study, one patient, one breakthrough at a time.
We’re proud to be part of the Bright Alliance, a collaboration that brings together the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, and Scientia Clinical Research to deliver world-class care and research within the Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct.
